Day 1: Ha Giang City – Quan Ba District – Can Ty Commune
- 9:00 AM: After breakfast, depart from Ha Giang City to Quan Ba District (50km). Along the scenic winding roads, you’ll enter the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark. Pass through Bac Sum Pass, flanked by majestic mountains, and stop at Heaven’s Gate to enjoy coffee, breathtaking views, and a chance to photograph Tam Son Town and the iconic Twin Mountains of Quan Ba, nestled amid lush rice fields.
- 11:45 AM: Arrive at Tam Son Town for lunch. Afterward, head to Lung Khuy Village for a 4km hike to the stunning Lung Khuy Cave, followed by a visit to the Lung Tam weaving village. Here, you’ll learn about the H’mong people’s traditional linen weaving and clothing-making processes.
- 5:00 PM: Reach the homestay in Can Ty Commune, drop off your belongings, and take a short 2km walk to the Lonely Tree (approximately 250 years old).
- Evening: Enjoy a local dinner at the homestay, rest, and prepare for the next day’s adventures.
Day 2: Can Ty – Tham Ma Pass – H’mong King Palace – Lung Cu – Nho Que River – Meo Vac
- 7:45 AM: After breakfast, set off from Can Ty to Tham Ma Pass, a breathtaking route on Highway 4C with spectacular views.
- 8:30 AM: Stop at Tham Ma Pass for photos and to admire its beauty. Continue 20km to visit the Vua Meo Mansion, a 100-year-old architectural gem valued at over 150 billion VND. Learn about the history of the H’mong people and the legacy of the Meo King.
- 10:30 AM: Travel to Lung Cu Flag Tower, Vietnam’s northernmost point, where you’ll climb over 400 steps to see the country’s largest flag and panoramic views of the border with China.
- 12:00 PM: Have lunch in Dong Van Town before continuing to Ma Pi Leng Pass, known for its jaw-dropping canyon views. Descend to the Nho Que River for a scenic boat ride (50 minutes) along the majestic Tu San Canyon.
- 5:00 PM: Arrive at the homestay in Meo Vac. Enjoy a traditional dinner and local music in the evening.
Day 3: Meo Vac – Mau Due – Du Gia Commune
- 9:00 AM: After breakfast, explore traditional H’mong houses in Meo Vac, characterized by their stone gates and unique architecture.
- Continue along Sa Ly Pass, known for its iconic M-shaped curves and stunning landscapes. Encounter ethnic children in colorful traditional attire carrying baskets as they greet you with bright smiles.
- 11:30 AM: Stop for lunch in Mau Due Town, then enjoy coffee and a scenic break in Lung Ho Town before heading to the picturesque Du Gia Valley, home to over 17 ethnic groups and 600 households.
- 4:30 PM: Arrive in Du Gia Village, known for its streams, lakes, and the beautiful Du Gia Waterfall, an ideal spot for summer swimming.
- Evening: Enjoy a delicious local dinner, karaoke, and Vietnamese rice wine at the homestay. Rest for the final day’s journey.
Day 4: Du Gia – Yen Minh – Ha Giang City
- 9:00 AM: After breakfast, bid farewell to the homestay hosts and travel to Duong Thuong Commune in Yen Minh District. This charming village features expansive fields cultivated by generations of locals.
- 12:00 PM: Stop for lunch in Can Ty Commune before continuing the journey back to Ha Giang City via Thai An and Thuan Hoa.
- 4:30 PM: The tour concludes at the QT Guesthouse, where you can catch a bus back to Hanoi or continue exploring other destinations.
